My camaro in 3d
Ive been a 3d artist in the game industry now for about 8 years and I usually do alot character work. Creatures, humans, monsters, etc.. If it can move, I make it. So I thought I would do something refreshing and less organic and make my car. It would also be fun to be able to customize it quickly and get a good representation on how certain things would look, so its a win win. Should be a fun project. This will be the work in progress thread of me making the car and hopefully by the end I will have some great realistic 3d renders for me to make some cool posters with.

First thing I need is some good reference. I found some basic blueprints of the camaro online that should get me headed in the right direction. My car has the gm ground fx, rksport spoiler, and a different grill, so not everything will be exactly the same. Luckily, I have my car sitting outside, so there should be no shortage of reference photos for me to use.
 Heres the blueprints I grabbed.

Hey man, great idea. I do similar work in the Automotive CGI industry. You might want to know that those orthographics you have are of the concept car, not the production Camaro.
I dont know how much you care about accuracy, but you might want to find the real ones before you get too far into it.
