Take Stock 2SS/RS to mid 500 HP
I was debating a supercharger, but I thought I would see if others have mods that get them to mid 500HP. I don't really have any particular need for more HP than stock, not planning to race, etc. Just have to be able to beat my buddies Z06 at 505HP.

Your car will also need to go on a diet and improve its suspenion...To get to 500+ NA you need a big cam/heads/fast102 and TB/CAI/Headers maybe an UDP and and a phenominal tune.
There are a few cars on here running 500+ NA, I was running VERY close at 491whp N/A before my SC/Meth etc.. I can help you with 90% of the parts and the tune, Pm me if you want more info or if I can help in anyway. |

To make mid 500's naturally aspirated is going to take a race set up, more or less. An easier way to that kind of power is a blower + a couple bolt ons. A lot better driveability too and the ability to easily make more power (add cam, and/or more boost) , you'll need to be making a good bit more than the Z06 to compensate for the extra 600lbs or so the Camaro has.

I'm was at 510 but after a retune this weekend back at Lethal they are sure I've gained a few more through the retune, also that the original session was on the stock heavy 21s that have been replaced with lighter 20s which will also show a few more on the dyno. most likely closer to 520 now.

I'm in the mid 500s with the magnacharger and kooks. The car drives so much like stock, you forget it's fast. If my parts hadn't come for so cheap, I'd be bummed about the money that went into the car. That being said I still love it.

550 HP crank won't beat a Z06 but I bet 550 WHP will (until aerodynamics come into play eventually). Nitrous and a cam will get you there easily. Hell nitrous and boltons can. Just get a good kit/installer/tuner if you decide to go that way.

checks.....my supercharged Camaro with 600whp barley walked a stock Z06 from a 20mph roll....it would have been a lot cheaper to just buy a Z06.....

As long as I am in the ballpark, I will be happy. Chances are, we may never line them up. But I want him wondering....LOL
I debated on buying a Z06, but I wanted to make the car my own, hard to do with a Vette, other than switching wheels. Plus, I have a 67 Camaro SS. I am going with the then and now theme!
