Removing the heat from under the hood will benefit any car...

We didn't test any non-FI cars during development, which in hindsight was a mistake. When we get some time we'll get that done, hopefully here in a couple weeks.

They direct rain/wash water in front of the engine. Remember that when the car is moving, air pressure blowing up through the vents will keep most of the water out.

Go to our website and watch the splash tray demonstration video: http://www.hexvent.com/video.html

You can also attach tubes to the splash trays to direct the water wherever you want.

Any pic's of this in the works yet? Is this something you would make available to those that have already purchased the vents? This is the only thing that is currently holding up my decision. Love the look from the top, not so much from the underside.

i invision a ring that mimics the shape of the upper part, that has an L shape to contain the insulation, maybe retained via the mesh screws?

how far down from the top of the hood does this sit? Also how long lengthwise are they? Or better yet, how many inches from top of hood to bottom of vents?

Since noone with a 45th has done these yet, Im trying to see if the 45 on the hood stripe would be occluded by these. I can do a mock up to lay on the hood to look at if I could get some measurements if its installed per the DIY video.

Thanks, I like them, just cant use if it tweaks the 45th look too much.

Also if I do get them, is it possible to get them in two different colors? say the drivers side in red and the passengers side in black?

Thats exactly what I was thinking.Using the mesh screws or the remaining unused clip retaining threaded holes.

Maybe with a gasket to isolate the insulation completly from moisture,That would be really nice.

We are waiting Mr.Hines

My friend in our club has a 45th...the vent comes down from the windshield side of the hood about 12" and is about 16" long from there.
