foot pedals??

Ok i've been lurking on here since i ordered in december and i finally got my camaro(2ss rs manual) and the ONLY flaw this car has is the rubber foot pedals. as far as i know chally and mustang have metal one's, even the discontinued pontiac g8 gxp has em. Does anyone know where i can buy metal foot pedals??? If so that would be sweet. I would also like to thank everyone here for the knowledge I have recieved here for making me a smarter consumer and helping me be smart enough to buy my car for msrp.

Good question...probably some aftermarket company will have them or already does have them for sale. Nice looking car by the way.

And Chevrolet-Buick-Pontiac-GMC? You don't see those very often.

I tried to order from Ultimate Pedals http://www.ultimatepedals.com/ - at first they indicated they'd be the same as the Corvette pedals so I ordered. They asked for pictures of the pedals & then said the Camaro pedals are "unique" and they'd need me to trace each rubber pad and each pedal. I said I didn't think i wanted to help them design their Camaro product offer and asked for and received a refund. I'd think they'd want to be going after Camaro business but wanted their first customer to do their work... They lost a $289 sale of gas, brake and footrest aluminum pedals and a reference on camaro5.com from me - instead they get this write-up...

Here's the process they wanted to follow after charging my card before they could make/ship the pedals:

"We rely on customers to supply templates.

1) customer supplies templates

2) produce a 3D CAD model of the pedals

3) e-mail full scale pdf file templates to the customer

4) customer prints out templates, cuts templates out with scissors, checks templates on car

5) modify templates per customer feedback

6) manufacture and ship pedals to customer"

I'll look for these after they become a standard product in their line or from another company.

looks cool, I wouldn't mind sending them the specs. Looks like they are a made to order company anyway.

I don't have my car yet I'm afraid.

Why not?!? You'd have the cutest Camaro pedals on the forum!

By the way, do they make those with a lefty as well for old people that 2-foot automatics?

Ultimate pedals is made to order but has pedal measurements from other cars http://www.ultimatepedals.com/catalog/index.php, including the 1993-2002 Camaro http://www.ultimatepedals.com/catalo...x.php?cPath=29, they just don't have a customer yet willing to work for them to produce the templates they'll then use with other customers.

I do have to say having your customers doing part of the design work may save them some effort yet if they were proactive and got the measurements themselves they could be marketing to us...
