Let the puppies breath! How well do the stk. Ex manifolds flow?

The stock exhaust manifolds look like they're pretty good from the outside.they are defineately far superior to the stock boat anchors the we've all thrown in the scrap bin that were on all the previous F bodys' small blocks i've had, even the scrappy LT1s in my 94' and 96' Z cars. It was a must that i spend the $600.00 on a set of 1 5/8" ceramic coated Edelbrock headers to let those nasty little D ports flow to their full potential. But now, with these LS heads it's gonna run about twice the cash,"which i might add, is a litte steep,well,O.K., really steep",do the headers flow that much better than the stock manifolds?...And yes, i am well aware the importance of great flow.

Stock aren't as good as you think they look. ARH posted +-30rwhp gained with their longtubes and even more with a tune. Just about everybody is putting some kind of headers on these cars. I got headers and mufflers waiting for mine.

I must be in a bad mood, but there are far to many threads that ask noob questions in the new posts section. Pretty much anything stock that you take off your car and replace with aftermarket is going to see improvements.

How hard is it to kindly point them in the right direction and be very courteous when doing it...

If you think about it he is right on the cost of new headers,
But he needs to think of the extra HP, And the 50 pounds you save in the front of the car and that is good for 1320 or road racing.

Not hard at all, my first post was informative and courteous. I point people all over the place but we can still whine about it.

He probably has a job he has to make a living with unlike some people I know; so he probably has precious little time to research these things.
