I took the Camaro out to a guys place who had over 2 miles of open road on his land and found out how fast my 2LT auto would get up to.

Used 87 octane gas
Only had one oil change used Mobile 1 Synthetic
Had over 150lbs of Junk in the Trunk, not including spare
All tires where at 37 psi
Only mod yet window tint
Just myself in car, my weight is 175lbs
Did it in sport mode
It would not go past 146

I think the speed is governed to 155. Would your car not pull any more or do you think you hit the speed limiter at 146?

It is governed @ 155mph.

How much gas did you have in the tank ?
What was the Temp.? Humidity ?
At what elevation were you at ?

See that is what eveyone says and that is what I tried for. Gas was at 1/4 tank, it was like 89 with 95% humidity, only a slight elevation...and for some reason even the 0-60 was slower then I normal get

I am going to some looking in to this.

Much too hot & too Humid to get top performance !!
So you were only a few hundred feet above sea level I guess.

I got my car in July, and it's been around upper 70's to low 90's since then, (cooling down now).
I don't get much pleasure cruising in, but took it to the grocery store one night when the temp read 65 on the stereo, and it felt faster. Might have just been my mind playing tricks on me.
I'm jealous of you guys that can take it up to 140+, but I'm glad that I won't ever have to worry about why it won't do the extra 9 mph to get it up to 155, lol.

Probably not whats hurting your top speed, but your 0-60 was definitely hurt significantly by that 150 lbs of junk you're lugging around.

the fastest ive been is 130 in a turbo bug.
im hoping my camaro will change that
