Mace Ported Intake Manifold Impressions

Yesterday I received my ported intake manifold from Mace!

Visual Impression: This thing is beautiful. Everything is ported really nicely and looks extremely good. The dip was filled in and everything looks extremely smooth.

****** UPDATE ******

Driving Impressions: Wow.... Don't really know how else to describe this thing. It's honestly the best mod I've done to date! Dead spot is gone and the car just pulls like crazy! I'm going to of course take it to the track but for now I love it! The car just jumps forward when I step on it. It literally scared me the first time I floored it! Don't really know what else to say. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'll answer them as best as I can

Sound Impression: The car did indeed change the sound. That one I don't really know exactly how to describe it but I will try my best. The car didn't really get deeper but it lost its tendency to rasp. My car would feel like it was going to rasp whenever I would mash the throttle and instantly let go. Now that tendency is gone. That's really the best to describe it. It's a more refined noise that you get now! Big up in my book!

Just finished the install... Now off I go to try to finish the 30 mile break in.

Quick question, what are signs of a leak? No lights came on, and nothing seems off or strange. Car idles fine and runs fine, so i hope I have none but I'd like to know of signs just to be on the look out.

I would say these are probably the first signs of not having a leak...

My car was driving and idling fine. Then all of sudden I had a leak. Hopefully you don't have any troubles.

You can get a mace manifold from forum member MACE_ENG

i have 2 factory gaskets to reduce the chance of a leak. And I made sure I didn't do anything differently from the insulator install since that didn't leak on me. Fingers crossed though

You lucky guy... I feel like I'm climbing the fence again and just may fall over the other side lol .

Let us know how it performs and if there is a change in engine sound.

So definitely worth it then? I've been thinking about getting one either from Mace or RX. I just got a little more excited to get one.

I think it is absolutely worth it! I can't comment for the RX one but I love it so far! Definitely feel a massive difference with the MACE one
