Game Dilemma.... want to buy Battlefield 3 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So it appears that my issues with FPS games has seemed to stop. I don't really get nauseous playing them anymore, at least not on my phone or PC.

SO I want to get Battlefield 3. I'm having a hard time deciding between PC and PS3. The only differences I know of are the smaller MP maps, less MP players, and of course the graphics on the PC are better.

But I prefer playing games on my big screen with my surround sound. My PC monitor is only 17 inch and not even widescreen, yes I can run my PC on the TV but then I don't have a keyboard/mouse that are wireless and I don't want to go that route for 1 game.

Any opinions? Is the PC version THAT much better? I honestly probably won't even play multiplayer so I'm not sure the additional maps will help me. if I do I'd like to fly the jets or control a tank or something, something I would prefer my PS3 controller for.

Omg go with the ps3 bro. Well ive never played on PC but graphics are better. With the right cables for the ps3 will have outstanding graphics.

U don't have to have wireless mouse or keyboard. Just plug a certain cable into your tv and into your computer. Plus, wired is better and faster response times. Of graphics are better and so is gameplay, especially hooked up to an hd tv

My point was more the physical location of my keyboard and mouse is not conducive to playing a game on the TV, I would need at least an extension cable for both. My computer is already hooked to the tv by HDMI so I have that covered.

For first person shooters, I personally will not play those on a console. I like mouselook.

After buying/playing bf3 on Xbox and pc I prefer the PC, just so much funner.

I ended up going PS3 for a few reasons. One is I suck at FPS games but I have better reflexes with the controller (although I've been getting better as I've been playing Rainbow Six 3 on my PC which is REALLY tough since its basically 1 shot you're dead). Also as I mentioned prefer playing on my TV (So I would at minimum need to buy extension cables for my keyboard and mouse which I don't feel like doing plus I don't own a PC joystick either so I would bet flying the plane or driving the tank would suck as well). If I do play online (which I probably won't) I know the PC players will just shellac me, where I may stand a chance on PS3 (from what I read).

No matter which way I went I probably would have said I should have went the other, but it was on sale for 30 bucks and I had to make a decision because the sale ended last night.

This game is insane. I actually feel like I'm in the middle of a war. Unbelievable.
