Exhaust Banging on floor under trunk

Does anyone else have that annoying banging on the floor (right rear) when hitting a bump? I've looked under the car and pulled on the exhaust but I dont see anything obvious. However when I hit a good sharp bump it sounds like the right rear muffler is hitting the trunk floor. Anyone else have this? Thanks Caperss

That is funny. I started to notice the same thing yesterday. It seems to be getting worse. I haven't had a chance to get under the car, but it does feel as something is wrong!

aftermarket?

cause i put an aftermarket on mine and it was rattling on the tunnel brace underneath. i took it back and they tightened up on the tunnel brace. it stopped. then the other day it started again. :(

i posted on here and others said to use washers and it'll stop, or upgrade the tunnel brace.

Mine is stock, no aftermarket parts to cause it.

My car is new and does this. I haven't taken it back to the dealer to adjust because I am replacing the entire exhaust with Doug Thorley shorties, Magnaflow cats, and Borla Touring cat-back.

Hitting the tunnel brace. BTDT. Need to loosen all the clamps and jack the exhaust really high and retorque the clamps. It will settle down some but you have to have clearance above the tunnel brace. I bought an Elite Engineering tunnel brace to give me more clearance.

I had the same problem in my rear right exhaust... when i reach a certain RPM (1800) i get a vibration/rattling noise... I took it to the dealer and explain it to my service manager and told him to send someone with me for a test drive.. As soon as the guy heard it he said he can fix it, if they can’t they will replace my right exhaust… now I’m running on a brand new rear exhaust... ever since I have never had a problem….
I would recommend that if anyone one wants to explain anything to a service manager plss take them for a test drive and show them the actual problem…

Alot of times it's the crossbrace. It will sound like the back of the car. These cars flex a ton over bumps. I've tossed the brace a few times.

I have some noise too. I have an MBRP set. They include their own tunnel bracket that hangs down a bit lower. When I installed my exhaust I had about 7/8" space. Two weeks later it was down to 1/4 - 3/8. I know it is less now, but not touching. Over bumps I bet it is flexing enough to make some noise. I will have to tweek it again too one of these fine days.

My corsa rattles on my tunnel brace as well, only started a month ago. It will vibrate and knock on the brace at 1100rpm in 6th gear.

WOW I guess this is a problem after all. My system is bone stock and now that I think about it, it only happens under certain types of bumps/situations and it would be at the times the car would be definately flexing and very well may be the tunnel brace(not loose but a clearence problem). I havent been under the car but would washers between the brace and the underbody help give more room between the pipes and the brace? would this lower the tunnel/brace to give more room? just a thought.
