I already covered this right after my install. What I've found is that I need to unplug my USB device before I shut off the car. I switch the source from USB to radio, unplug the USB, and shut off the car. After the car is initially turned on I plug in the USB device. If I'm lucky the HUD will display reading USB and all is good. If not then not only do I not see any songs, but I do not get to see who is calling or if I change the source to Radio I don't see the station information.

Anyone else have issues getting the wires to "click" into the x12? The diagram looks upside down from the way it looks in person as pins are in the places that it shows 5,6, and 13. also there isn't any way to release it like the 20.
Second, anyone with a 2010 have issues getting the faceplate to fit correctly? It powered up with everything but the Bluetooth stuff since wasn't plugged in but could not get it to sit in place properly. If i put the bottom bolts in the top would stick way out leaving a gap. Same with the sides Last edited by flyer08; 05-23-2014 at 03:55 PM. |

The wires you put into the "X2" connector require a bit more work to get all the way in, from what I remember. The faceplate slides straight in. Don't try to put the top or bottom on before the other, straight in.

*edit* finally got faceplate set. Was just messing around and it popped right in. Still can't get the x2 to work. They will only go in half way and no pick or anything will push em in rest way
Took an hour break and went back out. Still have a gap so i reran the wire that has blue ends and goes from faceplate to brain unit to get it out of the way. If i try to put the screws in at the bottom it makes it 10x worse and the top edge sticks out. Still couldn't get the connectors in x2 either . Everything else seems to be fine Last edited by flyer08; 05-23-2014 at 07:16 PM. |

I pushed pretty hard on the sides and top corners of my faceplate to get it to snap in. I wouldn't want you to damage anything though. I'd make sure the blue wire on the faceplate side is bundled or ran on the right space behind the faceplate but be sure it's not in the way of any connector holes. I wish I were there to help.

I'm pretty sure that the display itself is powered through the data cable and the hvac controls are controlled through the harness.
