Lightbulb Non-A/C owners!

I need a little help. Can someone confirm that an opening exists through the firewall where A/C lines would pass through? I'm expecting that there is a plug or gasket material from the inside of the car, with the hole being there. Just need someone to confirm, and a picture is worth a thousand words. I would check myself but I am still overseas. It might be tricky to see as it is inboard of the brake booster and slightly under the cowling behind the driver side of the engine.

It looks like there is a large plug. Can't quite make out what it says. It's either "remove" or "do not remove," although that could be referring to whether during assembly the car was to have A/C or not, but that is just a guess. I can't imagine that Chevy would have designed a new firewall on a 4yr old design for less than 100 non-A/C cars, vs just using a plug that cost pennies.
