My spoiler came off

i was driving home today, and on my way home i noticed something through the rearview mirror, so i stopped and it ended up being my spoiler. i did some looking at my car and 3 of the 4 nuts came off and the 4th bolt broke.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Just to be clear, there are actually six (6) bolts/nuts that hold on the spoiler. There are four located under the rubber caps, but there are two more located under the trunk lid cover/carpet piece.

Guess it's time to go back in and check the nut #5 and #6. Didn't know there were 8 of them...

Great thread. I checked and all 4 of my were not tight. Not about to lose the spoiler, but a year from now, probably.

I loctited them. Use a magnetic retriever to remove the nuts once you get them loose enough. That way no rattling nuts in the trunk lid. That didn't sound right...you get the picture.

So, all of the 4 outside nuts were loose on my spoiler. What is the trick to removing the trunk lid cover/carpet piece so I can get to the other two?
