First 1LE Suspension Mod: Coilovers or Stage III ZL spec
Looking for advice from 1LE owners with road course experience:
I bought the Pfadt Stage III ZL-spec kit for my 2SS/RS (non-1LE), but now that I'm trading in for a 2SS/RS/1LE, which should I do first? Coilovers or the Pfadt kit? The Pfadt Stage III kit includes: - 1.25" drop springs - solid subframe bushings - ZL-spec front/rear sways (stronger than the 1LE sways) - Rear trailing arms with bushings - Rear tie/toe rods with bushings This will be my daily driver, with the occasional track day (not straight line - might happen, but not my goal). Since the 1LE package provides a track-capable suspension already, and I know I want a lower stance on the car, I am debating whether it makes more sense to sell the Pfadt Stage III kit and start with coilovers instead (Pfadt or other). Eventually I will want both, but want to get the most bang for my buck with the first suspension mod. Let me know what you think |

I have heard great things about the Solíd subframe bushings . The only downside a possible small change of noise compared to stock. How much did you pay for all?
If I was you I would keep everything except the springs. Sell all the stuff you take off and get a set of coilovers Last edited by Lio Martinez; 02-18-2014 at 09:26 PM. Reason: Grammar |

I wanted coilovers but to get rid of the wheel hop I was told I need to upgrade other stuff first like bushings etc...
But I still want coilovers due to the fact that I can control the height |

poly upper control arm bushings if you have everything else out. i held off changing the toe rods since the 1LE has the ZL1 links and have spherical links.

I have pfadt rear upper control arm bushings pre-pressed in GM brackets - will definitely install them if I go forward with the solid subframe bushings.

I got 1le struts and shocks on the way for my car in addition to zl spec sways. I plan to get the solid mounts and UCA bushings soon to finish it all off. I just dont wanna spend the money on coilovers only.
