Red 12V Wire Dead

I have been trying to install an aftermarket radio and i wired everything right so i was wondering why the aftermarket head unit was not powering on. I Decided to take a multimeter to the yellow and red wire to see if it was reading 12V and the yellow constant 12v wire was good but when i tested the red 12v AAC wire it was dead. I checked the fuses in the trunk and under the hood and nothing seemed to be burned out. Is there something im messing or something that i should re check? Help is greatly appreciated right now.

What dash kit are you using?

the module on the dash kit could be bad. there isnt an actual ignition lead at the radio. with the factory radio the ignition lead is through the canbus system. the module converts the canbus signal into a switched signal

this. It sounds like a bad module in the dash kit, especially if your wiring checks out. Don't forget to check the fuse on the radio itself, if applicable.

I am using the metra kit and I have checked the Fuze on the radio and I know for sure the radio works since it comes on when I plug it into the 12 volt constant power. Is there a way I can run the red 12v wire from the aftermarket radio into a wire that's on the car that is only supplied 12v when turning the key?

And as for the metra kit everything works fine with it. It lights up I can turn on the A/C, heater, change the color but it's just when I connect the aftermarket radio to the stock harness that's when the issue comes.

In this thread you started you stated that you did not have the wire harness. Do have the harness now?

I have a harness but everyone is saying it's the right harness since I have the scorch harness. But at the same time I am not getting 12v from the red wire on the stock harness.

I'll say it again....if you are trying to use the Scosche harness with the Metra kit IT WILL NOT WORK. To bypass the Metra kit's ignition turn on by using another ignition circuit is just the wrong thing to do.

Do you have the module (black box) connected in the Metra kit? If not, I can't understand how anything is working, as this is the box that converts the CAN bus signals for the radio and the heat/AC.
