Riddle with chips

I did a little bit of cleaning last night and then took a look at the car in the sunlight this morning only to find out that the car is totally riddled with chips, nicks, and scratches!

I see many members cars on here looking absolutely immaculate! Hows do you guy do it? Mines a 2011 daily driver with 51 XXX miles. I drive the thing everywhere I go...so I imagine that could be the reason for the wear and tear.

I noticed my gills are simply weathered and pattered with paint chips as well as the the bottom near the doors is fairly worn down as well!

Anyone else have these sort of issues?

Having a black car for me makes my life miserable when it comes to the nicks and scratches or the little specks of dust in the air. --Its impossible to keep this car clean ... So I totally feel you when I see other peoples pristine cars

I only have 1500 miles on mine and have rock guards. Can't believe the amount of chips on the gills!

I was looking for swirls in my paint the other day, which I didn't find but found that the gills are all dinged up that you cant really see unless you get real close. so I just ordered splash guards all around in hopes that it will help. I just turned 10k miles btw...

I bought some very cheap medium (for the back) and small (front) plastic mud flaps at Autozone for like 10$ total! I trimmed them up and drilled holes to match the screws already on the wheel wells, they fit and look perfect and extremely cheap.

As far as the bumper goes... Well I'm not worried about it until it cracks we'll just say. The rest of the car looks perfect haha.

Exactly how I feel! mines black as well and every little nick and chip shows through!!

Sort of happy to hear it's not just my car that's riddled haha. I know the paint on these things is delicate but it's definetly a new standard of fragile. Never had a dd that chipped this much.

Yup mine as well. I got sprayed with rocks this winter. The joys of daily driving our cars. My windshield sparkles it's so pitted, ugh.
