Camaro's of East Texas Car Club 02/11/2012

Attention all Camaros of East Texas members. We are taking over Grub Burger Bar this Saturday, April 22, @ 3pm. Instead of meeting at On The Border we are moving to Grub Burger Bar. If you have wanted to come out but never have then this is the day to do it. The weather is supposed to be nice that afternoon. Great people, great food, and of course great cars!! If you know someone with a Camaro invite them as well. Tell all your friends and let Grub Burger Bar know you came with the club. The more Camaros we have the bigger the discount! Let's fill the parking lot with Camaros and show off our cars! Grub Burger Bar is located at the intersection of Grande and Broadway, the address is 6421 S Broadway Ave, Ste 130, Tyler, TX, 75703.

We will be doing something a little different for the meet this Saturday 5/13/17. We will meet at Grub Burger Bar, 6421 South Broadway, Suite 130, Tyler, TX again but for this meet we are going to meet at 7 PM instead of 3. Just trying to do something a little different so others that work during the day on Saturday can attend and others can show their lighting effects off. The next meet on the 27th will be at 3 PM. Trying to do some different things to include more people who can't always make the 3 PM time.

Saturday the 13th is also the Laps For Charity at Texas Motor Speedway. Here is a post from the Houston club if anyone is interested in going to this Saturday.

Ok folks. Next weekend is the event. We will meet at the Waller Buccees at FM 362 and Highway 290 at 10:00 am for a 10:15 sharp roll out. We will be traveling highway 6 towards Waco then take I-35 E towards Dallas to have lunch at 3@ Gas Monkey Grill. The LSC, DFW, SACC, and East Texas groups will join us there. After eating we will check into the Marriott and prepare to be at track by 7pm. This will be a fun time as Texas Motor Speedway has been completely re-topped. We will make a pit stop where we did last year about the half way mark. Can't wait to see everyone.

Any good engine/speed shops in East Texas? I'm in NW La. about 15 minutes from Texas and I don't think there are any here local. Looking to change my L99 to LS3 (top end) & throw a supercharger on top.

There is a shop called east Texas muscle cars in Longview. I have a few friends who have gone to them and had nothing but good things to say about the shop

We've had a member who had some issues with them, but you never can tell what your experience will be with a car tuning/mod shop. Some people have great experiences with a shop and others can have an outright ordeal at the same place with the same people. PM for details if you'd like them.

Since this is a holiday weekend we are not going to meet Saturday 5/27/17. We will have Taco Tuesday 5/30/17 at Fuzzy Taco 1871 Troup Hwy, Tyler, TX 75701 at 7 PM. We will resume our regular meet 6/10/17.

I recently had several mods done at ETMC (May 2017) which took my ZL1 from 580HP to 815HP and 680 RWHP. ETMC is a fantastic shop that does high quality work....did for me anyway. I highly recommend them and you won't be disappointed. Great shop and great price...
