Exclamation (2011 Camaro 2SS) Does anyone else experiance this when stoping? Please Help.

I have the 2011 Camaro 2SS automatice with only 487 miles.

I was wondering if it is normal to feel a little drag when stoping?

It happens when I am driving and as i start to slow down to about 12mph it feels like the car is stoping itself. Even if i am not pressing the brake and i am just costing once it get to about 12mph the car feels like it stops itself.

Does anyone know why?

Please Help.

Thank you.

You may want to also pose this question to your dealership to see if they might be able to shed some light on the issue as well. Also you would be letting them know about what you are experiencing so that they can do some research into it as well. I hope this helps you.

Watch your HUD, the car will automatically downshift upon deceleration. I'm not certain at what speed it hits 2nd gear but it is noticeable.

TYup, sounds like the tranny is downshifting to me. What you feel is probably about the time it shifts into first gear.

It's just the trans downshifting. 6 speed autos have some characteristics that are different than the older 4 speeds. Downshifting with engine braking seems to be one of them. I've even noticed it in the newer 6spd SUVs.
