Yea, I feel ya. We can only be jealous to those that can get 93 octane. :(

Hopefully in the OPs case, its just bad gas as Rogue Leader pointed out.

Its not the gas, that won't set that code. I'd look at the throttle position sensor connector. Sometimes big boots or something can knock a connector or wire loose. Might just need a disconnect/reconnect and establish all the pins are tight. If that's not it, the service manual has the test for the sensor.

There is redudancy in the sensors as a fail safe. So it's probably just one of the sensors and the other is still reading fine. But the computer won't allow much power when the backup circuit is not copasetic. Not like the yapanese set up, that can just stick wide open on you. These drive by wires are well thought out, with redundancy, and action taken when a problem detected. Should be a simple fix.

OK got my car back yesterday, there was water in the linkage that they think might have been the problem. I asked about the HVAC making a gurgling noise and of course they could not find it.

So hoping that it is fixed and no more issues.

This just happened to me on the way to work. Accelerator pedal felt like a sponge. Just installed my K&N 100 miles ago and had it serviced 20 miles ago. Been a lot of rain here but they also upgraded the HVAC programming while I had it in for service. Wondering if I can fix this myself or have to take it in. Don't want to put the stock air intake back on but it might be better that way so they don't give me a hard time about it.

It just clocked 7000 miles when this happened.

Where is this connector located so I can check it. It may have happened when mine was serviced. It was also raining like a banshee when I had it serviced.

Here is how one site suggested to clear the code:

"Manual Method
Here is a quick way to reset your ECU. It is also known to clear codes thrown, and turn off the "Service Engine Soon" Light. It's a little tricky, but works.

1.Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch “ON” and wait 3 seconds.
2.Repeat the following two procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds:
a.Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD).
b.Fully release the accelerator pedal.
3.Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 10 seconds until the CEL starts blinking.
4.Fully release the accelerator pedal (while the CEL is still blinking)
5.Wait about 10 seconds.
6.Fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for more than 10 seconds.
7.Fully release the accelerator pedal (The CEL light will continue to blink).
8.Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and now you can start the car. The CEL light should be gone."

I wonder if this needs to be done while standing on your head while rubbing your belly.

Happened to me again this morning, as soon as I started it up! We had over 2.5 inches of rain on Friday and this was the first time I have driven it since then.

Guess back to the dealership this afternoon.

My engine power reduced message went off after the car was parked for about 8 hours but the engine light is still on. I checked under the hood this morning and found that the small hose to my K&N intake was slightly pinched. I rerouted it to take the pinch out and will drive it a while to see if it resets itself. Still thinking it might be the APP though. Anxious to see what your dealer has to say augrad94.

Same thing here check engine light still on after about 8 hours. Mentioned the gurgling again and that is sat through the rain on Friday they seem to think this might me the problem. They are going to keep it a few days, supposed to get more rain tomorrow and see what they can find out.

Oh and I have the CAI intake installed and they have not said anything about it. The code was about the voltage so shouldn't be an issue.

I ended up pulling the fuses for about an hour and a half re-installed them, started it up and voila, no engine light. We'll see how long this lasts.
