Drag setup (18")

I recently got a set of rear ZL1 replica 18x11's with 325/40R18 M&H Drag radials. I am running the stock 20" fronts with 285's.

I want to go with a semi skinny in the front and keep the stock look. I have seen an 18x8 ZL1 replica, but I'm sure they wont clear the brakes.

Any options out there?

You could get the 20x8 replica and run a narrower tire.

I'd like to go with an 18 to match the rear. Has anyone modded the 18x8 to clear the brembos?

As far as I remember the 18x8 from factory reproductions will clear the Brembos just like the rear

My 18 x 8 Welds just barely cleared and would rub on some turns and bumps.

I'm not super familiar with the offset, backspacing game.
The replicas I found that I like, come in 18x8 with either a 19mm or a 27mm offset.
The factory wheels are 20x10 with a 23mm offset.
With the wheel being 2 inches narrower, and the offset measured from center, will the 27mm give me more room than the factory rim?

With mine it was the offset... it was the wheel diameter of 18". Sort of depends on where the barrel of the wheel lips up to the center piece. Weld did it on the outside so the tires could be reverse mounted. This took up an inch of circumference where as the same size wheel in Forgeline fit perfectly due to the step up happening in the center of the wheel.

I'm sure someone has tried the 18" replicas and will chime in.

Nice setup. What's offset on those 18x11 rear wheels? Thanks for the post.

Doug from FR said the 18x8 will clear the front Brembos as long as you do not have the skates on from the stock pads.

Protip: Pm him for pricing. It will be cheaper than ordering through the site.
