Blue DRL illegal?

I have blue DRLs and they incredibly bright. I also have them where they come on at night along with my headlights. They light up every sign I go past blue, I could turn my headlights off and see with the DRLs lol.

Does anyone else have blue DRLs and have problems with the law ?

For the most part I don't think they would illegal, unless it's blinding oncoming drivers. What bulbs are you using? Interested in getting some

This is going to depend on state and local ordinances.
However, in virtually all jurisdictions anything on the front that is not white or amber would be a primary offense, meaning that you can be pulled over just for that.

I think it depends on the officers in your area and the mood they're in. Too blue and they'll tell you to change them bcus you can't have blue light, impersonating a law enforcement officer. Most people can get away with it but like I said, just depends on where you live and the cops in your area. I would swap them out for some 5K-6K bulbs since those are more white than blue so you won't have to worry

My understanding is that you can't have blue or red lights as those are reserved for emergency vehicles. If everyone had blue lights other drivers might be reticent to give way to the right for emergency first responders.

In Texas, blue lights are illegal. White and amber (yellow) are the only colors allowed in the front of the car. Red/amber in the rear. "Bluish" lights are technically legal, but depends on how "bluish" they are and if they are oem. There is a wide grey area here. One officers blue is another's white. Also you can have no more than 4 white lights in the front on at given time. But anything other than DOT is a reason for a stop. I have Ofer's DRL lights and halo harness in mine and they are bluish too, but yet have been stopped.

i mean it kinda depends on how "blue" they are. those bulbs they sell at autozone that people buy to make theyre headlights blue arent illegal. now, if you're talking like legit BLUE led type situation then you might have an issue. otherwise, you'll probably be fine.

In most states, blue lights are illegal. You may be able to get away with white-blue, but these cars are magnets for attention anyway. You might want to consider something else.
