SS M6 synchro install

I know the synchro itself isn't too terribly expensive, about $80. But my question is what will it cost to take out the tyranny and install the new synchro. I know transmission work is not cheap. I just want to know around what it all costs as I am not covered by warranty. Anyone done this out of warranty?

That was with him providing all fluids as well. I know it isn't much, but $80 is still $$$. Budget around $1700 to be on the safe side.
