Ordered today! 2SS/RS

Well I bit the bullet and went and ordered my new rally yellow 2SS/RS with black interior. They said they were allocated 13 Camaros and I was their 7th order. All of their orders were for the V-8, they haven't sold any V-6's yet. :/ I'm hoping I will still get mine in a timely manner.

They also said they found out recently that GM will be sending them not one, but two V-6 models for the purpose of showing, but they said if people want to buy them, they'll sell them immediately.

Everything went good except for seeing how much sales tax is ($2700!) and that stupid $384 so-called 'processing fee', what garbage.

Try 13% sales tax, gas guzler tax, $1,400 delivery charge when you're less than an hour from the plant, $250 admin fee, $150 flat fee carbon credit offset charge (automatically on all new cars by the dealer), plates (oh, wait, already bought those <<), $74 registration fee... shall I go on? talk about . But, at least the $2,500 discount and my GM points will cover a chunk of that stuff. Not going to stop me from buying my Camaro though

Call your county license dept and veryify the tax rate. That sounds very high. Any dealer that charges any doc fee, processing fee, etc fee, is sure to lie about the tax rate. Shop around and find a dealer that does not charge the BS fees.

Congrats on your order!

I don't think you should have to wait too long...but then, I don't really know. Since you made it under the allotment cut off, there shouldn't be a problem.

Congrats to you Domano on your new Camaro!!

As I understand it, each dealer is given a certain allotment of Camaros that are expected to be delivered to them through the 3rd quarter of this year. The dealer I purchased from had an allotment of 13, and I was order #7.
