Wow, a BOSS 302 Mustang with DRAG radials performing impressively at the dragstrip!!!! What's next, a GT500 Shelby with supercharger removed, 6 cylinders deactivated and a solar panel instead of glass roof getting 20mpg city, on a VOLT forum!!!! Awesome!

The BOSS has a sole purpose, road racing. It got its behind handed by the 1LE at $5000 cheaper on a ROAD COURSE. It also showed a few tricks to the BOSS LS, which is a lot, a lot, more.

No that is impressive.

The rear end gearing has made up the difference in weight at the drag strip for any stock premium mustang gt OR any premium Brembo mustang gt.

The 1LE is also faster around a road course than a Boss, Boss LS, and base Brembo GT.

What the 1LE is not faster than is a Boss, Boss LS, or BASE 3.73 Brembo GT at the strip. I bet its a very close race to the $29.7k BASE Brembo GT though.

1LE murders the Boss LS on a road course and the Boss LS MURDERS the 1LE at the strip.

The 1LE is not designed to be a strip car.

None of these cars are made for the strip. If they were then Ford wouldnt have been so SCARED to match the BOSS up to the 1LE on this test instead of their weak track ready GT. Seems like a LOT of money to spend for a car that can only beat the 1LE in straight line acceleration. We dont live in a world of straight roads, and even if we did you have to turn sometime and that is why I chose the 1LE. As awesome as all these cars really are, you cant even get close to the value of the 1LE.

What about that 1 hour infomercial Ford did for the Boss and Boss LS? Not too much talk about 1/4 mile. It was all track talk. They were touting it as the best they'd ever done for the Mustang. So OUCH to Ford that the 1LE wins.

So the car that won costs $4000 more, has 30 more torque, better traction, and is geared higher? You don't say!

Russo, you have to be kidding right? Last time I checked a 1LE starts at ~<$38,000k. I payed less than that for mine and many others too.

Sorry to burst your bubble man, but the BOSS 302 Laguna Seca beating 1LE can be cheaper than a 5.0 GT track pack.

It was a odd, but they had the 1LE a bit more loaded with options than the Mustang GT w/ Track Pack was. It didnt give a real apples to apples comparison as far as price is concerned.

Some of us haven't seen the Head 2 Head video comparison where the ZL1 marginally beat the 2012 Boss LS.. If the ZL1 had a run for its money, I don't think the 1LE is going to magically be better than a 2013 Boss, much less the Laguna Seca...
