Thanks for the kudos

For these shots I wanted to enhanced the backgrounds in order to bring out more of sunset colors which also tweaked the color of the upper windows. What I do is after the adjustments are made to the overall image, I make a duplicate layer and this one gets the saturation control cranked up. Next, I erase all but the sky which allows the original image to bleed through. It's more time consuming than difficult.

What was your max speed? I ran earlier in the day, was going to meet you guys but life gets in the way sometimes, and was disappointed in the speed we were allowed by the pace trucks in our midst.

I got up to about 90 mph once or twice but I would say 77-80 mph most of the time.

After running I heard the pace car set the speed to not exceed 80 mph. I had to wait till I was coming up on a stretch, slow down, and then hammer it back up to speed.

What is everyone using for video? Go pro? How do you like the video/audio quality? I'm looking to get something to stick on my car for stuff like this. I last minute jimmy rigged my phone in my car. I had changed my exposure on my phone and forgot to change it back so the video isn't all that great.

A handfull of us are going to meet up in Southlake this Saturday around 6:30 if you want to come out and meet some of us. I would love to see a convertible in person plus I've seen some of your build/mod threads and would like to check out your car.

Looked for you in the car show but didn't find you. I think I saw you when you were about to start running the track. Maybe next time.

I just bought these two items and used it for the first time at TMS.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00403MGKK
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002K8Q0EU

I ended up using my regular camcorder mounted on the mount listed above. I then had my wife hold onto the handheld camera in the front seat. Both came out reasonable. No noise issues because it was inside (other than everything you say is on the video...). Video quality seems to be just fine, it's just a matter of me using the cameras and mounts correctly now.

I think the big thing is to get that mount. Then you can mount a regular camcorder inside the car. Camcorders are getting pretty small now. I'm probably going to buy a second mount so I can use the two cameras inside the car. One I'm going to try to put on the passenger side window so I can get a view out over the dash and one in the very back window so I can catch me driving from the inside.

I also replaced the batteries in the remote controls so I should be able to turn them on/off easier next time........
