I used a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and the pins came right off. I used two layers of 3M double sided tape and this allowed me to simply stick them on without having to do anything else to fill the small cavity in the back of the emblem.

Once you are down place the emblem back on top of the cut pieces you might need to do a little more trimming.

Place it on the car and you are done

I just bought a pair from Classic Auto Emblems on e-bay. They are the original high quality medal. I paid 39.50 for two and that included shipping. These guys have quality products and provide great service. I received them, two business days after the order.

Know that the '67 V-Flags' paint will wear off after time requiring re-painting, new ones or removal. I just bought acrylic outdoor paints to re-do mine - if it looks great they'll stay on if not then I'll remove them.

Pic is from last summer when they just went on - I got them from Ground-Up - http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.mv...y_Code=EMBLEMS

I have always thought it gives it that classic touch, ever since I have decided to get a Camaro I have been making plans on placing those on the front upper Valance and rear deck lid and changing out the fender emblems, basically I am going to put them in all the places that they have on a 68 including year specific emblems, I just sold my 68 in order to take a step closer to getting a 5th Gen, I live about fifteen miles from Rick 1st Gen and they carry everything I need, I will most likely have all the emblems before I actually get my 2010 SS/RS. I am also planning on some other classic touches to it that is reminiscent of a 68

I had the same problem as TJD, what I used was the liquid "stained glass" from Michaels Craft store, a thicker type of "paint" and clear coated them before putting them back on

I didn't look at the date of this thread, so don't blast me... I bought my 2010 camaro ss used with 6500 miles on it. It had that same emblem on it. I am a mechanics, and as far as I can tell mine are stock like this. If not they were done professionally. Anyone know if these flags were put on any of the special editions or were a badging option at purchase?

No, they were added after it left the factory.

Thanks for the quick reply! I looked at it further after posting this. It def came off of an older Camaro, the material is different. Also I can see where some of the paint has come off slightly with age. Some touch up paint will fix it up nicely.
