you're mistaken on how a software license works. you buy the USAGE of the software, not the program itself. for this game, they decided that it will be an online game, therefore you authenticate to battle.net to use the features of the game.

I think Diablo 3 is going to be a great game. Reminded me a lot of Diablo 2 and I played the CRAP out of that game for many many years. We will probably get stuck doing the same things over and over again in Diablo 3, but not for a while. Even though we would do the same things again and again, I felt Diablo 2 was always fun.

I mean, who remembers cow runs, baal runs, mephisto runs, or even Nihlathak when he was good to get items from.

I had every item pretty much in D2 and enjoyed every minute of it. Hoping I can do the same thing in Diablo 3 - with my busy life now it's just going to take a bit longer... as before I was in high school playing it.

Can't wait to see how these new characters develop with the game.

Monday night (stay up till 2am for launch)
Dont get to play till 3am
Play 3am - noon Lvl 24 monk
Slept 4 hours
Played 8pm-10:30pm last night (lvl 27 monk)

Got to say it resembles D2 A LOT! I still enjoy playing it tho and I like the auction house. (i've sold 3 items so far)

Back to work today so Can't spend 12 hours playing. But would like to reach 40-45 by Friday night. and be almost done with nightmare or into hell.

gamer tag is steveo9043#1701

ok, so i updated my video driver....and the game still freezes, then blacks out for a few seconds, and then comes back on. it's weird. it rarely happened around 12-3am, but then around 3:30am till about 4am it was happening constantly. I set all the game settings to minimum...i don't get what's going on. i have an ATI Radeon HD 5000 series graphics card...which should be more than enough....It's really annoying. i've never had this problem with SWTOR, and i really don't think this game is that intense graphically as SWTOR...fml

Well I got all day tomorrow (soon as my laptop arrives) until Saturday morning to play. Hopefully I'll behitting level 40 ish or so. Still not sure what class to play first. I'm leaning towards a sorc (Wizard) since that was my MF character in D2. Amazon was next so who knows.

your video card might being going out or if the GPU its over heating it could cause issues like that

And if we don't care about the real money marketplace? Or PVP? Or we're travelling and have no access to the internet when wanting to play?

We'd be screwed by not being able to play the game. This type of DRM is not the way to combat piracy.
