Nitto NT05R 315/35/20 on stock wheels

I am looking for some rear tires that will hook up nice. I see that nitto has these but there is alot of debate about putting these on the stock rim and how they may be too big for the wheel. I was wondering if anyone has put these tires on their stock wheel. If so has there been any problems running this tire on the stock rim. Please let me know if you like them and if they are a good fit for the stock wheel. Also what tire pressure are you running at the track with these tires to get them to stick well. Are there any other tires that as good as the nittos that will work on the stock wheel?

Stay with 305's. The 315's are just to wide for the 9 inch wheel. I did the 305's and thought they looked a little big, but it gives the car a great look.

my friend has the 315's mounted on the stock wheels and the car is lowered. he has no problem with rubbing and the tire fits fine. hes running low 11's and the hook up really well.

the "proper" answer is yes, but it fits and works on there. i had a hot rod that i ran a 16.5" wide tire on a 10" rim. i had no problems and drove it on the track and interstate for years with NO problems. if you feel comfortable doing it than its for you

I have 315 Nitto's on my stock rims. The fine for the strip. 12.35 113mph. I'll go to the Canada section and bump pic to the top.

I see most that are running the 315's are using them for drag racing. . . I don't drag race, but I do road racing once in a while with my car. . . My concern would be that the 315's side wall bulg would pop pushing it hard in the corners. . . Any thoughts?

Yep. Your right Bud. I did it for the sole purpose of Drag racing. Can't comment on road racing them.

I am sure they will work, but that is really pushing it on a 9 inch wheel......

People try to get out cheap and blow a tire out and lose a $40,000 dollar car.....
