Leather seats cut!
First off this is my brothers car, and I am currently babysitting her while he is deployed in Afghanistan. He totally trust me and told me I could drive it until The weather turned. So today I got in the car to get some receipts I had left on the passenger seat. I grab the receipts, but my attention was drawn to 3 cuts in the seat. Not tears, but what looks like someone took a razorblade to the seat. They are all less then 1/2" in length but they are not going to get any smaller if someone sits in that seat. I have no idea where they came from and I am the only one that drives the car. There have been a dozen people in the passenger seat since the car was purchased. I have a couple questions and I think I already know the answer to this one. Would warranty cover anything of this nature?(I have an appointment with the dealership to look at it) Is there a cheaper way to remedy the problem then replacing the leather seat cover? My brother is an understanding guy and he would not be mad about it but it would need to be fixed. Any knowledge on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, but that will not be covered by any warranty. Keep an eye out on ebay for leather seat covers that come up every now and then. You may have to buy a whole set though.
A new black leather passenger seat cover is $182.00 at www.GMpartsdirect.com

Thanks guys. I went to the dealer today and they said nothing would be covered under warranty. They could order the seat cover for $330, but I would much rather get the deal off ebay that SSLarry mentioned. Funny thing i forgot to mention is the dealer just replaced the heater/ac fan last week and it is under the dash on the passenger side, so I almost think the cuts could have been from tools or parts beeing placed on the seat. I need to do some digging and see what the dealer says.
