Any other comments or suggestions regarding my tuning questions from yesterday, or should I have posted this in the tuning forum?

Sorry ssmike. I thought about you yesterday, then got sidetracked. I seem to remember this coming up with someone else and they added a breather cap. Let me find what i'm thinking of before i say for sure though.

Edit

Just re-read your first post. Sounds like a different issue than what i was thinking...

Are you throwing any lean codes ? Unmetered air not accounted for in tune will usually do that. P0171 or P0174 or both

I think he might be suggesting that the air was accounted for in the tune, even though it didn't show up on the MAF. His tuner probably still would have noticed a big leak at the throttle body coupler, but who knows? Do you have any means of logging your trims ssmike? If you're running ultra-rich with it sealed, then maybe he saw it on the wideband and richened up your fueling for a leak? I would hope not.

Monitoring trims is another thing you can do with your OBDII module and Torque Jeff.

Who is your tuner? I've never heard of tuning a catch can . If it's hooked up right it shouldn't dick with anything.

Knock sensor reading is quite valuable ... Nice .. Really wish dash command had it. Stupid iPhone doesn't work with torque .. This may help, arkon makes nice mount for your tablet its like 25 bucks on amazon bolts onto seat rail. Mine should be here today.

Now I understand. You think the tuner compensated for the extra air. Monitor it with a scan tool or ask the tuner directly. Asking the tuner directly would be your best bet. You have a valid concern due to the fittings not being sealed properly.

For good measure make sure you have a strong maf sensor. Probably not relevant but when eliminating problems it's good to be systematic

No means for datalogging.

He said that the tune was done with the catch can in line so it needs to remain in line. Removing it with the OE bypass will affect the performance.
