Shaved 8/10ths with M&H DRs

Hit the track on Saturday. My previous PB was 12.820 @ 117.61. I've got an Arrington 6.0L forged motor and a Magunsuon SC at about 12 lbs of boost. I made all my previous runs on Nitto Invo street tires.

I decided to give some DRs a shot. WOW what a difference. I'm new to drag racing and have a total of 9 runs under my belt, and I shaved 8/10ths off my previous PB with the DRs on Saturday. It was about 70 degrees and 30% humidity at Beech Bend Raceway.

I ran a 12.03 @ 118.26. My Challenger is a 6 speed manual and I launched at about 2,000 RPMs. It bogged down on the launch. Next go I'm gonna launch at 3,000 RPMs and I'm confident 11.x will be the time easily and is my goal for this car that spends most of it's time cruising the streets and hitting car shows.

Not that I wanna make you guys jealous, but look at all the gear I got in the trunk. Holy cow this thing is fast AND practical.

If they're open Saturday and the weather's good I'm heading back. You should come with.

I scared off a modded up GT500. I've always wanted to race one of those. He stayed next to me in the staging lanes all the way up till we were 3 cars from the lane. Then he backed up and pulled in behind me :(

I may go, but I am not ready to run mine yet... I need DR before I run it.. I went ahead and upgraded to 1400 HP Axles...

By the way I can't wait to get a hold of a stang..

Nice job ! Your Challenger is a beast. 8/10 from DRs is just great...

Yeah, 11's are in your near term future.

Thanks everybody.

Ray, if you're looking for DRs the M&H are the ticket.

Congrats! The more seat time you get with the car, the more likely your times will get even better.

My Challenger has a 5x4.5 bolt pattern which turns out is rare.

SO, I used a Mustang Cobra R wheel in a 17x9. It's a 5x114.3 so I used a hub centric ring to center the lugs. No issues.

The tires a 275/50-17s.

It's a cost effective light weight combo.

Excellent!

I'm looking into an 18" MT set up at the moment!!! With luck I'll get the same kind of results you got!!!

You should have no problems. You guys have 5x114.3 lugs if memory serves which is much more common. You should be able to find a nice set of wheels on the cheap.

Only two places make proper 17" wheels for the Challenger and they're $500 a POP. Too rich for my blood for race wheels.
