To those looking to purchase a new camaro...

I called Chevrolet Marketing and told them I wanted to purchase a Camaro. I told the representative to give me a reason to purchase a Chevrolet over a Ford. I also said that I wanted to purchase today. After being on hold for a couple minutes they gave me a $500 offer toward a new Chevrolet! The offer is good for most 2013 and 2014 GM vehicles. It worked for me, you should try it!

So was the Camaro included in "most new 2013 and 2014 GM vehicles"? what was their response about the Chevy vs Ford question?

Or you could just find the right dealer who could sell it to you at a few thousand under MSRP?

GM has 1500 rebate now on 2013 new camaro, plus, a dealer should drop another $500 or so out of his own pocket to rid his lot of the 13's.

I walked out with my 2013 1ss 1le - with a about 2k in options (stereo / sunroof / NPP) for 40.5k out the door custom ordered from the plant. Did the math and found I got it for just over 35.5k after taxes / tags / everything else.

I'm sure if you could find one in a lot you could walk out with it for a little less.

I went with the straight approach - I would like the car with these specs for 40k otd. If you can do that - I have 10gs here for you now to put down as a down payment. They found incentives etc to make it happen.

yeah, i have all my figures writeen down. i will low ball at first, then see what happens. i have 1st proposal, 2nd, and 3rd. the car would be about 3000 to 3500 below invoice. i have 2300 in gm points too which helps but i want dealer to lower out their pocket too. currently they only got 500 out of thier pocket. will try to get them to go 1200 to 1500, car is new but built a year ago. small tear in drivers seat, very small they would fix and discount. so, will see. kind of dread the negotiations
