MSRP?

Curious to put together a CANADIAN record/database of prices.

MSRP, and good dealers / deals in the Canadian market.

All too often we get screwed north of the border... not nearly enough inventory and they hold onto these early cars with Corvette-like mark ups...

I am in Oshawa, and have had Awesome service on the Sales & Service side of my 2 local dealers.

Ontario Motor Sales - Oshawa
Nurse Chevrolet - Whitby

Nurse has a 2LT in white right now, and I may go take a look.

I think anything under MSRP is good for a brand new car that just went into production.

From all the emails I sent out and up until I placed my order, it seemed like only all the high volume dealers went significantly under MSRP. Out of the 20 dealers I emailed for quotes, only 3-4 went under.

After all incentives and discounts I got almost 3k off MSRP. With the Connect & Win contest going on now though, it will go down even more, guaranteed a minimum of 1,000 so I will be 4k under MSRP.

Everyone else was MSRP or MSRP +500-1000 and would not go any lower.

I didn't realize you had additional incentives on your deal.
I don't qualify for any additional incentives myself. :(

I priced out a 1SS manual with Mag Ride, grey 5 spokes, NPP, suede knee pads and black bow ties.
I guess with the current promotion it will be another $1000 off.

Opps. Originally my math was off. With further clarification with the dealer the price is Full MSRP. No Discount.

I got $1250 off with the connect and win contest and negotiated $500 off the price of my 2SS order to offset the $495 documentation fee that I refused to pay.

I'm curious what people think... With the connect and win plus the 750 gm.ca I am looking at approx 2000 off msrp. If I wait a few months is it likely I'll actually pay more? By then neither promo will be in effect... Maybe another will? I wanted to wait until I test drove a v6 vs turbo before making a choice... But maybe I am best to order now anyway?

I don't think there will be a deal where you will get $2000 off MSRP automatically. Plus whatever you negotiate.

Talk to you dealer about you choices, maybe order the Turbo and they will let you change it to a V6 if you don't like it.

I would just get the V6. Rave reviews, ample power and good mileage.

That was my original thought. Although the turbo will be way more than I'm used to. I owned a basic Celica a Mazda protégé a corolla and two base Mazda 6 for my last 2 cars. I'm sure I wouldn't regret the v6 although keeping costs to minimum would I really ever regret a 2.0 liter and saving another 2500.... I drive to work and back and that's it. Couple young kids. Just like the looks of the car.

In fact the most powerful car I've ever driven has been my Mazda 6 at 182hp!
