The hardest hard water spots you will ever see!

So my buddy knows I have a PC and am fairly good at making cars look good. So he brings me his girlfriends mustang to remove some hard water spots. After a dawn wash and claybar I decided to try some water and vinegar, which did absolutely nothing. So I broke out the PC, white pad and FMP, nothing. Switched to the orange pad with SHR, nothing! After an hour on just the hood scoop this is as far as I got. I had to admit defeat. Here are some pics of the car. The whole car looks like this. Any suggestions for him?

Forward a PM to Junkman. If anyone can fix it, he's your man. Seriously.

Not even an option that you should consider when looking at what has been attempted thus far. The PC is by no means a power horse. There are quite a few polishers and compounds that can be tried before the words "wet sanding" should ever enter the equation.

This requires professional intervention. Find a local professional who actually knows what they are doing and let them fix it. Wet sanding is always the last resort for something like this.

So Junkman, would the PC be able to fix this given the right pad/compound combo? And if so what are they?

That would be a trial and error project. There are quite a few different products out there that you can try that are very aggressive. The pad choices, however, are a little more limited. The problem is, the bite of the PC is very tame compared to your forced-orbitals or rotary's. Thus, you don't necessarily have to get crazy with the product you choose to use when all the damage may require is a polisher with some serious bite. Of course, this ups the ante on the damage that can possibly occur when this is performed by a novice.

Let's put it this way. One pass with a rotary may be equivalent to 20-40 passes with the PC. But hey, the PC is a hell of a lot safer!
