What makes you say that? It's got the wheels, splitter, wrapped hood, painted calipers. It's more likely a 1SS with no RS. I checked on the Chevy Camaro website and the backup camera is a standard equipment with the 2SS.

Might as well add $3-4,000 if OP can swing it for a ZL1.

IMO,
The SLP package is purely cosmetic with the exception of the CAI, tune, and exhaust. So performance wise it's not going to do much difference from a 1LE with NPP. You would also need to be concerned about the warranty with that tune(dealer might be ok, but GM is a different story). $3.5K is a little steep for this package, considering it only cost them $1500-$2K for everything. And you can read threads from 1LE people saying no RS package was a mistake. That being said, it would be pretty neat owning a special package like this. I'm not sure on how it affects value and resale. Careful of dealer "gimmicks", they tend to put crappy packages on things and claim they're awesome. Go check out the "California Edition" of the camaro I feel you could do a better deal than this. I might have just been lucky to have a good dealer, but for 2SS, RS, NPP, Sunroof, and Prem paint I got the dealer down to $39,700 after discounts and private offers. Know how much they are making off the car and continue to haggle a lower price. I hope this helps and welcome to the 1LE club! Either way, you'll still be part of an awesome group of 1LE folks. It's a nice looking car, just don't get taken advantage of. Good luck |
