After 3 years of searching, pulled the trigger!
Just saying hi everyone!
Last night I picked up a 2012 Camaro 2SS with: RS/Hurst/6SP - Black on Black Loving the car, left the dealer at 11pm, and can't sleep since...is it wrong for me to be checking the car in the parking lot every 30 minutes?..hope no one steals it. I'll post pics soon, but I know you all have seen many pics on this car/config and color. Hope to learn a lot on here and contribute as much as I can as well to the growth of the community. Note: It wasn't until I arrived at the dealer that you cannot control the fog lights on the RS equipped models. Dealer actually thought they don't work at all. Need to verify DRL functionality in the morning else will need to return to the dealer. |

dcplus14, CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.
 oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

welcome! i had the same problem when i bought mine, i thought something was wrong with the fog/drl's. turns out after reading some threads on here i found out that was the way they are suppose to be. but in my search i did find out that some folks have wired the fogs to be on all the time. i'mnot sure offhand where the thread is, but either someone will post the link or you'll find it without any problem.

 The first day I drove mine to work was a heavy fog day, I remember my salesman saying something about the fog lamps but could not remember, spent the entire drive to work trying to figure out how to turn them on, read the owners manual when I got to work and could not figure out where the switch was? Then I did a google search and wound up here on the forum reading some great threads, I still want to get real fog lamps put in place of the drl's and be able to turn them on/off whenever I want, that will be my first mod after I recover from putting the down payment down.

Haha...thanks everyone!! This is going to be fun!
As for the DRL's, noticed them working in the morning just fine. Good times...next step: trying to find the section on out how to break in the car in the owners manual. |
