Why are so many selling used so far?

I am a little worried about buying because I see so many used ones selling. It has me a little suspect on the cars. Why would so many be selling already?

It could be for many reasons...not necessarily that there's something wrong with the car. Peoples' situations change, the economy is marginal at best, etc. Also, these cars are so beautiful that they inspire "impulse" purchases by folks who weren't in the market for them. There are far too many reasons, but I sincerely doubt it's indicative of a flaw with the car...

The only ones I've seen used have been at new car dealers. So are either trade ins or returned leases.

I've also seen a lot of members here who have already "traded up" from the V-6 to the V-8, leaving a lot of used V-6s for sale.

There are a lot of us on here that have already had a year of happy, problem free, Camaro ownership...

I think that some of the sales are due to people losing jobs, or getting in over their heads in debt to buy 'the hottest and must have car' out there...

You will not be sorry if you buy the 5thgen Camaro!!!...trust me on this!!!...

All the used for sale I have seen are former rentals.

I haven't had one problem with mine at all. I would suspect the Camaro's that you see used on car lots are Camaro's returned because these people could not afford them.I feel for them because this car is so awesome to see, hear and drive.

All of the above posts are causes but these are the most likely two. Except for the first one its more likely people without enough money to play with! Theses cars are luxuries, first thing to go when times are tough.

I think all the reasons were covered.

A lot of people want to be the first to have the newest and coolest and move on. If the residual value holds they can buy it, enjoy it and unload it and not lose too much $$$.

But I also think that if you are thinking everyone buys a car an hangs on to it forever, especially a Camaro, that's probably not a good model. I would doubt there is a higher percentage of used Camaros for sale than most other cars. They are just wayyyyyy more visible than used Cobalts or Tahoes.

Most I've seen are rentals. Although the one we had was a local trade b/c the person who bought it was starting a family and the Camaro was too small to fit his new family.

It's funny to see so many different reasons for concern when some folks are considering this car. IMO, if you have to justify the purchase of this car, then this probably isn't the car for you.

Must be a regional thing as used ones around here are few and far between.
