Accidental stripes poll: keep 'em?

My Camaro finally arrived at the dealership today BUT the factory "accidentally" laid down black rally stripes

I did not order stripes for my RJT 2LT RS

The dealer will NOT charge for this unexpected option. If I wish to have the stripes removed so I get my true order, they also will NOT charge.

SO...keep the stripes or not?

VERSUS

SORRY - browser crashed and poll was not attached - feedback please! ty!

+1

I would keep them, but ask if you can have the dealer remove them in future. Maybe get it in writing?

Did they order it wrong and add the stripes (on the window sticker) or did the factory put them on by accident (not on the sticker)?

Either way, leave them on and you can always take them off later. They do look good.

As a 2LT/RS RJT owner with NO stripes, I would have to say that you should do what looks right to YOU...
If you feel that you have to 'settle' for keeping them, then don't...
If you feel that the 'accident' ended up being a 'free bonus' for you, then keep them...
I like the RJT with or without stripes...it is up to you...
Will the dealer give you a day or 2 to 'sleep on it' before you give your 'final answer'?
Let us know what you decide...either way, you can't go wrong...
Good luck and congrats on the car!!!...
Make sure to join my 'RJT Camaro Owners Social Group' on here and post photos of whatever way your car ends up looking...

p.s. if you are in the NYC/LI area, we have a great Camaro Club called NY5THGEN...you can check us out in the Regional Section for NY/NJ/PA/CT...we have a great group of members and get together for meets and cruises...there are a few more events coming up in the next 3 weekends...we always welcome new members...started with only a handful last yr and now have over 50+ members...we have a few RJTs too...

LOL in the time it took me to post that last comment - I got like 3 more affirmations...the stripes shall stay! LoL

The dealer owner is a relative, so i dont think there would be any issues about if i decide to remove them

thanks guys...

i just found out like 10 mins ago

Tell the dealer you want a couple of weeks to ride around with them on your car and if you like them keep them-if not have the dealer peal them off. I got my Summit White without factory stripes with the intention of going the after market route but the naked look has grown on me and I've had a change of heart. Go with what you like! Congrats on the new ride.
