From this past weekend. Did my spoiler and decklid black out and gas cap.
I dont plan on keeping the gas cap though, just wanted to see what it looked like before i get a real replacement. the spoiler was super easy, was perfect on the first try. the decklid was a pain in the ass due to the bowtie emblem. Had to redo it 3 times because for some reason it kept leaving an outline of bodycolor around the bowtie. this stuff is amazing for trying out looks.

I'm pretty excited to try this. I think it'll look good and cover up my curb rash on the front passenger rim too. A non-destructive, inexpensive, and fairly easily removable appearance mod which apparently has multiple colors and enhancers for even more creative ideas = win win.

OK so I spray the main area I want coated and save the edges for last. Question, when I put the last coat on that includes the edges how much time do I have before I have to start pulling the tape? Should I start as soon as I finish that edge or do I have time? I would hate to have to prep the whole area again because the plasti dip comes off with the tape.

Well I've started dipping my rims today. Had to borrow a jack and wrench from a friend and had just enough time before sunset to get one wheel done.
I used index cards, since I happened to have two unopened packs of cards I've been holding on to for years. It was about 7:30p so the sun was going down and I rushed it a little. I basically did a light overall spray and then went over the whole wheel until it looked covered in all areas. I got one decent look at it before the sun went down and it made me smile. There may be a few imperfections but I won't know until daylight. If I don't like it I can either try another coat or peel it off and do it again. That's why this stuff is so great to try right?
