Anybody pulling their hair out to due wheel or tire change with your braking sensors!

GM is writing a program for the techs which should be distributed shortly to put an end to playing with the programing of the sensor. Share your problems and solutions.

Can I assume you mean size differences in height? Like going from 20" to 21"...I assume width has no bearing - like changing all 4 corners to be the same 20" x 8"...

thanks

If you change the overall height of the front or rear tire, you will need to have the cars cpu reprogrammed so it can read the tire speed. You will experience all the braking lights and components on your dash lit up ABS, emergency brake, stabilitrac in center gauge, traction control, etc.

I`m not sure what sensors you are asking about, but if by sensors you`re referring to the ABS then changing wheel or tire size has no bearing or effect on the ABS system.

All wheels that you put on the car must have a diameter of 28.6 or close. You will have all the idiot lights come on re: braking etc. 28.6 is the magic number overall diameter!
