Advise please (my life could depend on it, LOL!). Bleed brakes?
i just installed my new vented brake rotors and pads on my v6
I followed the DIY for the SS but i have a problem i used a c clamp to retract the pistons and now the brake pedal feels dangerously soft. i tried pumping it to get the pistons back in place but still seems really soft. Im kinda afraid to drive it My friend says i need to bleed them but i always thought that was unessesary unless you take the system apart Any advice would be appreciated!! |

Yep yep, if you don't know how to do it, take it to your dealer or any shop. Youtube it, and you can do it yourself.

First off if you don't "take apart the system" they dont need bleading. Have you started the motor? If not, start it and pump the breaks. They should pump back up. Otherwise you could have done something wrong. I would then get it towed to a shop.

True, if the lines were never cracked open theres no need to bleed.

Looks like Silver-Maro was spot on. I do have a question for you. How many miles are on your car?
