Exhaust Alignment

I've had my Flowmaster Outlaw catback (3 inch piping) installed for a little over 3 months now with no problems, but this has been bugging me ever since. Is it normal to have the passenger side piping this much lower than the other side with 3 inch catbacks? I haven't had any problems so far, so it's more of a cosmetic OCD thing.

And here's what the tips/pipes look like from behind:

The tips are pretty well aligned, but that low pipe just bugs me for some reason. It never hits anything or causes clearance problems, but it's just there lol. I would just rotate it up more, but any more rotation will cause it to touch the heat shield. Is this a common thing with 3 inch piping and/or Flowmaster Outlaw catbacks?

If it's not hitting and the tips are aligned I would not worry about it. Sometime it's better to just leave well enough alone, at least with things I do, lol!

Tell me about it, it bugs the crap out of me! I'm out of ideas because like I said, rotating it causes it to touch the heat shield. I have inspection due soon so I'll probably just ask the dealer to straighten it.

Just installed the stainless works turbo chambered 3" cat back exhaust. It is the same way. It bugs the crap out of me too. But, I am OCD. I tried fixing it, but it just makes problems elsewhere, so I guess I need to stop looking at it and leave it alone.

I got the same set-up....You can fix it!...lol...The leveling of the x-pipe is the most critical...any error there is compounded farther back...It's hard to eyeball...You need a straight-edge and reference off the frame to get them right...It may not be one's to low...the other will be "high" as well, so you're only 50% off...Good luck...

Seeing the clamps would ruin it for me. I'd have things welded.

Listen, if those whiskey drinking canuck's can install it straight/aligned correctly while the car is moving down the line.....then, some bucktooth spending "all day" on the install should get it right, come-on, WTF?

Tell & show us when its fixed so we can all sleep......

Align the pipes and spin the clamps. No pride in thier work. Not even function over form. Surprised you don't have road kill or plastic bags hanging from the clamps. Plenty of room for improvement. Make sure they don't put the pipes or the bolt side of the clamps too close to the body, knock.
