Ok, enough pun. It's really hard to not buy a nice rifle for $600 or less. I'm not looking to buy an AR but a nice rifle with almost infinite accessories? I tried looking into. 5.56 rifles but the ones i like are around$1000 and up. I wanted something in a 9mm sub or similar for the mrs and my daughter,but even a nice one will run close to 1k.

My wife was the one who pushed me in to buying it... Yuk Yuk. Now I have to start looking in to some farkles for it.

Sweet! I'm seriously thinking about trading in the M30 for either another AK or an AR. Not sure yet. The ammo being the first reason. I don't know about others, my Mini 30 does not like steel cased ammo at all. I buy some yugo ammo with corrosive primers. Magazine's are pricey at almost $40! I can buy Ak mags for $12 and AR mags are about the same.

Women! Haha! Funny thing is , I had that same issue when i got my red dot sight. I wonder if the mrs thought that. Wow, Canada has some impressive weaponry.

"TRAINED" is the keyword there... I'd love to see more folks taking advanced classes. Similar to the AutoX-Road course, drag strip guys and their "driver mods" rather than throwing new 'gofast' parts in the mix.

I'm not aware of any Canadian provinces marketing and inviting Americans to move to Canada if Hillary is elected, only if Trump is. Unfortunately, if the offer is good only if Trump wins there not even a snowballs chance in hell anyone will be able to take them up on their offer.

Hmm. My Mini-14 eats whatever I feed it and doesn't care if I don't clean it either. Perhaps go from the 30 to the 14?

Agreed......Almost anyone can own a gun or drive a fast car, but doing it well and safely must be the goal.

Purchased my first hand gun at a show this past weekend. A buddy of mine took me around and essentially said you want one that feels like an extension and is comfortable in your hand. I went 9mm due to availability (at least current day) and cost of ammo.

My primary reason for owning is to keep in the house for protection in a panic situation. I'm not planning on carrying at this point.

I'm starting with no experience at all and i'm assuming you'd all recommend learning to shoot at a local range. Any other tips/tricks or comments to help me get started?
