I can feel it very very slightly in a g8gt. I think in the high performance motors it's a bit more crude in transferring modes than in other cars. It changes from one mode to the other in 1 cam revolution (1/2 engine rpm). The tunning has been done on other cars but I would guess with the Camaro being such a big seller you may see some neat stuff (deactivation switch?). That development couldn't be justified on other platforms.

Thats the idea. Remember that the engine is turning at ~1200 rpm or so while AFM is engaged. Thats 20 revolutions per second, or 10 cycles/second. If it only takes a couple of cycles to activate (deactivate?) then you are looking at maybe 0.1-0.2s?
