Unhappy I hope this was just a clueless employee

I just called my local Chevy dealer, and they are a very new and very large dealership. I was asking about a waiting list and if they were going to charge MSRP, and the good thing was that they said they won't charge over sticker, but that they thought the SS would come in at $38,000 - $39,000. From what I have been seeing it wouldn't be near that high, and if it is then I am out of luck because that is too high for me and really worries me now. Anyone know what to think on this?

clueless employee period. don't get worried, most dealers are stupid and the salesmen are just as bad. except camaroscotty lol.
it WILL NOT come in that expensive. they wont price it that close to their flagship car, the corvette.

we need to keep saying prices in that range are too high, because the performance of this car warrants that kind of money

You gotta keep asking until you get a dealer employee that isn't clueless or is out to gouge you. I looked around IL dealers for a while with no luck... so far only my neighbor up North seems to be the only one that understands.

At worst, always come here, this Forum is the best source for information.

Pricing won't be releases until AT LEAST next month, and maybe even early next year. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE DEALER (yet).

Maybe worth that much but I doubt we will even pay close to that.

A lot of people are saying that the Camaro SS is going to sticker for a lot higher than what many people on here are saying and are hoping.

And the Camaro SS offers performance and value vs the competition (GT500 & SRT-8) who are priced in the 40k range.

But hopefully the Camaro SS's price doesn't hold true to that.

All I know is that when pricing is released a lot of people on here are either going to be very happy or very mad...
