Hello Members, I have some news for everyone. It seems as there is a lot going on towards the end of the year as far as get togethers for our 5th Gen Camaro's and if you have been reading the board, you have seen some of the invitations. Greg and I have been discussing this for a few weeks and have decided to cancel the November 12th meet at the Track in Reynolds and join up with the SGMP Meet November 19 - 20th at Valdosta, GA. Yes, the same location as Camaro5Fest was held in April.

I know some of you are probably disappointed, but I honestly feel that this will be a better event for us to attend. The information is below:

SOUTHEAST REGION - END OF YEAR BLOW-OUT

SGMP Valdosta, GA November 19-20, 2010

Resistration Fee - $20 per car: this covers the police escort and armed security for our cars for the two nights.

The Host Hotel:

Holiday Inn Valdosta Conference Center (same as C5Fest)
229-244-1111
$82.99 per night - Group code is Camaro 5

For those on a tighter budget:
Days Inn or Super 8 (next door to host hotel)
Use same phone number above for $59.99 rate

Friday Night - We will start with some meetin, greetin, eatin, and streetin. Cruising - to coin the phrase from Tusk.
Police escorted cruise at 6:00pm with the same route as April's Fest - about 20 miles that will end at Austin's Restaurant for Dinner.

Saturday - SGMP gates open at 10:00am with time trials and grudge racing from 11:00am - 4:00pm. Tim at SGMP is setting up some special races just for us Camaro Folks with a trophy to the winners.

$25.00 to Race / $10 for Spectators

Then back to the Host Hotel for more Meetin, greetin, and deciding on a place for eatin.

Sunday: Meet & Greet until you depart for home.

Mark & Greg, you guys are AWESOME!!!

Hey, let your friends know about it too. And if you know anyone who has any older Camaro's, invite them as well. I'd like to get as many generations as possible, especially some 1st generations!!!

If you want me to email you a flyer to print off so you can put it up at some of your local hang outs, just let me know.

I can't wait, the weather is going to be beautiful, a perfect day for the best cars in the world to get together!

Everyone, over 50 invitations went out from Legacy Chevrolet (I personally addressed and mailed them), so we should get a good turnout. If you know anyone with a Sweet Vintage Camaro or a Cherry 3rd or 4th Gen, please invite them! You can give them my email or just post up here that some one else is coming.

Just found out this evening that there is going to be a Cruise-In at Steak and Shake on Bradley Park Drive at 5pm on Saturday. I was thinking that after we are all done with our Meet and Cruise, for those who are interested, we could just keep cruising and head on over to Steak and Shake. I don't know what kind of cars show up, but this info came from the older guys of "Columbus Cruisers", they met at Fudruckers tonight. Even though they don't all have Camaro's, I invited them all to come out with their vintage cars and trucks on Saturday and they said they would get the info to the guys with the 1st Generation Camaro's!

I've heard about these in Columbus. (1) Which restaurants in town have these and when? I have heard there are more. Is there a website or place on this site that shows times and places for local classic car things? (2) What do they do at the Steak and Shake? Show off the cars or just meet to eat? (3) Does Columbus Cruisers have a website?
