ZL1 on lot really its bad on gas?

So 2 weeks ago i was driving by the dealership where I had bought my 2010 ss used. I had to make a second glance and to my suprise it was a ZL1 on the lot. i turned around to go check it out seeing I have only seen them on the web or magazines. As i was looking and snapping some pics a salesman came out (naturally). As he tells me he doesn't care for the body syle on the 5 gens, I said I would love to have this car. In his next breathe he procedes to tell me that this car is horrible on gas. Really dude horrible on gas? I asked would you really buy this car for gas mileage? This is a race car you moron not a grocery getter! And this is part of the reason I will never buy a car there again.

A 550+ horsepower, 3800+ pound vehicle that's 'horrible' on gas mileage? Say it isn't so!

Haha i would actually say for the power and weight of the car when driven properly the ZL1 does very good on gas actually.

That should be the only dealership you buy from.....with all they say is WRONG with it, you should get a huge discount on a terrible car!!!!

1) This man is clearly "dead in the middle", if you know what I mean.

2) If this is representative of how this Chevy dealer operates, GM should have revoked their franchise along with the other rotten ones a few years ago (mid-bankruptcy). Wonder what other makes they... "sell."

3) "Horrible on gas" describes those two+ ton SUV's and crew cab pickups he's probably sold, driving around with empty passenger seats.

Kill the media... I hate people like that who don't see a car for fun or something to get excited about, just a box that drives them around. Especially those who sell them and see that you're interested lol.

Well you may want to spend a little more time with him just to see where it goes. Instinctively we think "idiot", and many of us (me included) will have our opportunistic minds kick in to see if we can capitalize on this scenario. I'm thinking this guy just may be using the reverse psychology angle to get the potential customer to disagree with him and start blathering about how great the car is. Then he will know who he has,and do his best to suck them in.Just a thought.

You mean 3800+++++

That is kind of funny OP. you're right about not buying it for mileage but I guarantee that there will be people that sell theirs due to milage

You should have offered him a really low price to get that "Bad mileage" vehicle off their lot since it is obviously bad for them
