Quick Insurance question

So, my mom and I were discussing about getting a SS camaro possibly for re-sell value and just the way she works (I don't plan on reselling it but you know)

Anyways, I am wondering if anyone would know the difference between 2LT and SS? A few people have said it would not be a difference, really considering they are both high performance cars. I will also be taking drivers ed for insurance discount and I have all A's for the discount.

Progressive is the country's absolute worst auto insurance company. Take that from a bodyshop owner of 24 years. I wouldn't let those crooks insure a hotwheels car.

To answer the question in the simplest way.

YES, the cost will be different from the LT to the SS. Insurance companies aren't stupid. They know the difference in power and performance. I would guess you take the LT quote, cut it in half, and add that number to the original. 40 to 50% higher.

I'm 24. With State Farm the difference for me is $20 a month. The SS was quoted at about $100 a month while the LT was quoted at about $80 a month.

I don't get why people think that anyone on the site can give them an idea of their insurance prices. There are sooooooo many factors (driving record, age, living situation, credit score, etc.) that you just have to call the companies and ask. I can see people trying to get the idea 3-4 months ago. but I'm pretty sure most all the companies have the 2010 Camaro info in their systems now. Yet people keep posting asking what it will cost for their unique situation....sorry to be kinda harsh about it it's nothing personal to you it's just getting old seeing these posts when the only real info you will get is straight from your insurance company.

Whatever your rate is... cut it in half, and double it.
