Real Carbon Fiber and Hydrocarbon Differences (Pictures Inside)

Hello,

We have been getting a lot of questions regarding how Hydrocarbon looks vs Real Carbon Fiber. It is hard to describe this without pictures, so we decided to take some today. The pictured 4 gauge pack on the left is the real carbon fiber and the one on the right is hydrocarbon; they were both made by us. You can see the noticeable differences between the two of them. I hope this helps forum members distinguish the difference between them. Hydrocarbon is nice looking stuff, but real carbon fiber has a depth and 3D effect to it that just can't be achieved with anything else.

I'm curious about price as well, for this and the L99 shifter (I saw 175$ in your response somewhere but I think that was for the manual and it looks like the auto shifter would use more CF, so wanted to clear that up).

Also, any pics of this installed? Curious how it looks with the left over silver top part of the gauges. Wondering if I need to find some kind of black overlay for that.

I will post pricing at the latest this weekend on the vendor section. We wanted to develop most of the parts before we get the pricing out. It is extremely important for us to have cores for most of the parts, since we would not like to have your car apart while we work on your parts. Feel free to give us a call at anytime and we can gladly provide you more information.

This is a great post! I'm glad that you posted this so our members could see the differences in the same product.

Does this mean that I can upgrade to actual carbon fiber from DSV when I get mine? I've been happy with the look of your hydrocarbon and the variety of products, but I would definitely pay the premium for that CF.

You can upgrade anytime you want. With Cores in stock it means you do not have to have your car without parts until you get the modified piece..

I'll probably place a long order with you the same day I order my car I might have a CF interior before I have a car.
