Meth. Install

How high rwhp level can you run without installing Meth?

That's like asking if you have to wear socks.

Sky is the limit. Do a nitro burning big block, or methanol as a fuel source, or run race gas.

The meth serves 2 purposes; raises octane and cools air intake charge. Meth is highly beneficial in high boost or high compression engines, reducing the chances of detonation. So it's really not about "horsepower" per say.

A highly recommended mod particularly in FI applications. As stated on above post, there are several benefits to meth AND up to 20% power improvements if tuned right. It will also benefit N/A builds although not as much as FI.

Meth would allow you to run LSX454-R on pump gas vs race fuel.. 13:1.1 compression and 770hp. Not bad for NA..

Think of it like this, The blower Compresses air to give you boost when its compressed it builds heat and not to mention the car warms up aswell Then throw in some Texas heat at 105 degrees.. A lot of timing is thrown in because of all this heat so detonation will not occur and the down side is loss of HP. When these Parts get Heat soaked and the outside air temp is so hot an air to air or water to air heat exchanger (intercooler) doesn't really help. (On a air to air exchanger NOS or other fluid/gas can be sprayed to cool the compressed air over the intercooler, On water to air you can fill you intercooler reservoir with ice or get a super chiller that passes freon from your ac system to cool the water in the intercoler) All methods have a downside as I assume you can figure out.

Meth adds power but, the simplest way to put it is when its August outside its December in your manifold! The kit and installation is probably no more than a dual pass heat exchanger and refilling is cheap you can make your own.

I guess if you had unlimited money Do the dual pass exchanger, the Superchiller, and the meth. Probably freeze up the manifold LOL!
