window sticker question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I ordered my 2SS/RS Camaro about 7 weeks ago and received the notice from camarotracking that it was produced. So I clicked on the vin number and it took me to the window sticker. Everything matches up with what I ordered and the vin number matches but it says that vehicle is at Wally McCarthy Chevrolet in Forest Lake, Minnesota. I thought it was supposed to go straight from the factory to my local dealership but it's showing that it is on that dealer lot. Any ideas what might have happened?

You better call your dealer and find out why. Someone else is going to get your car. lol, j/k. I would just call.

lol after waiting this long I think I'd jump on a plane and go beat somebody down if that happened

I would really call. Never know if there was a mix up in paperwork somewhere. Unless they were just switching transport trucks, doubt it, but maybe.

I don't like the sound of that. I just pulled out my window sticker that I printed when I found my vin, but no location on it. My actual window sticker does show my dealer as who it was delivered to. I hope you made the phone call already.

When I tracked mine last May, it went from Oshawa to the Toronto rail yard then to the West Brookfield Massachusetts rail yard and then to my dealer. You better call your dealer and find out why someone else has your car. Who gave you the VIN #?

Give them a call......the SYSTEM has had bad data many times, as it was entered by mistake, howver the cars always went to the dealerships they were supposed to, regardless of the window sticker in the data base, and this happoened to me. in fact when I looked up car up in the data base, it even had another members name on it! on the very next update of the system, it was corrected.

No i still haven't figured it out yet. I got the window sticker from camarotracking.com. I ordered the car from a fleet service my company uses and they are closed right now so the dealership it's being drop shipped to has no idea. The vin they gave me is
2G1FT1EW6A9180640.

What the hell kinda dealership name is "Wally McCarthy"?!

Seriously though, that sounds pretty fishy to me, unless there is a deal going down between your dealer and Wally, where they are trading cars to get yours to where you are pickin it up. I feel like I am talking out of my ass there, but it seems like a reasonable thing to do between dealerships.

My order had the same issue. What happened was my dealer traded an allocation with a nearby dealer. The window sticker will show the original dealer who's allocation it was intended for.

I hope this is your case!

Just the guy's name that started the business. they have a few lots. This one is Wally McCarthy's Chevrolet.
